New Party in France?

The Cuban Communist Party paper Granma has just
published this from the Cuban press agency:

Marlen Borges, Paris, Jan 24 (Prensa Latina)

A new anti-capitalist political party might become a reality in France next week during the 17th Congress of the Communist Revolutionary League in Paris.

This objective, proposed by Olivier Besancenot, leader of the organization, would become the hope of all those who want a well-defined left wing, and are disappointed with the current contradictions of the most radical organizations.

Much is unknown about this project except that itcounts on significant support from young people. Some days ago, Besancenot, second most-voted leftwingpresidential candidate in France after Segolene Royal, expressed his confidence on the approval of the project.

More than 80 percent of Communist Revolutionary Leaguemilitants agree with the creation of the organization. In the opinion of this new political group with risingpopularity, French President Nicolas Sarkozy is tryingto destroy all the social conquests of the French population.

Besancenot, co-author of a book on Ernesto "Che"Guevara 40 years after his murder, told France Infothat if there is a great fiscal deficit in the countryand the economy is weak, it is a consequence of manyneoliberal policies by other governments.
